So my post just before this one was about moving to my new house/town a year ago today.
And this is how I celebrated last night.
This is by my house.
This is the next town over.
And this is by my house.
And we got hail, of course.
I didn’t do anything special in this spread.
I used rubber stamps (the tree & home sweet home).
I also added a 4×4 sheet just to display some Instagram pictures from around the same time.
Danny and I had a lot of fun decorating for Christmas
and we’re really enjoying having the Christmas decor around us.
And although we had to rearrange the living room to fit the tree, I’m really liking the layout
and it may end up staying.
Just a word of advice to any other Project Life people/scrapbookers-
never throw anything away! Keep all your scraps because you never know when you’ll need them!
Over the weekend Danny and I decorated for Christmas.
(Kind of early – I’ve never done it before Thanksgiving).
But I was really excited that I talked him into getting outdoor lights.
We went to Walmart and I managed to get him to look at all the decorations and he caved.
Not that he doesn’t like Christmas – he loves it. He just didn’t want to get up on the roof and do the lights.
So we just stuck to the porch post and the front bushes.
We had to do some rearranging for the Christmas tree to fit in front of the window but it’s working.
Annabel even enjoyed it a bit.
We had to have some of the lights on the ground – oh well. It’s our first time.
We’ve got some lights inside as well.
And our thrown together center piece that I really like.
So my plan for the new place is full of a ton of colors, that probably won’t match and a lot of handmade simple crafts. I feel like simple handmade things can make a place feel like home. Like it’s lived in. I’ve been playing around with different quotes. I’ve painted one on canvas that I’ll share later-I’m still debating if I like it. And here is another favorite quote of mine. It is from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I would like to have this on my bedside table eventually; the one that is soon to be bright orange! 🙂
