Outlander – The Television Series

So I totally loved this series (well, what I read of it). The first book Outlander was awesome.

These books have been written for over twenty years.

They are fairly long so if you’re not into that I recommend at least reading the first one.

After years of rumors about movies and what not, they have decided
to turn it into a tv show! Of course I don’t have Stars but I’ll find a way to watch it.
The first season covers the first book. I hope that it will be awesome.
And I plan on reading the first book before then!

summer reading

One of my favorite things to do when it’s nice out is to grab a book and go sit in the sun.
This winter has been absolutely horrible and I am beyond ready for some nice weather.
I’m going to get myself a nice lawn chair and spend as much time outside as possible.

So I have decided to come up with a list of books that for some reason make me think that they
would be great to read in my sunny back yard.
Some of these I have read before, years ago.
(maybe I read them outside before and that’s why they’ve made this list)

1984 – George Orwell
Lolita – Vladimir Nabokov
Brave New World – Aldous Huxley

I find it funny that I named this post ‘summer reading’.
I always had to read required books in the summer for school and usually they weren’t very good ones.
One I fell in love with was Wuthering Heights. I know this ‘summer reading’ will be better than the previous ones.

I plan on really extending this list.
Since this winter has been extremely horrible I’m very motivated to spend a lot of time outside this summer.

Author Review – Gillian Flynn

Can I just take a moment to talk about Gillian Flynn and her books?!

images

They are so good! And her writing is absolutely amazing!
This is the first time in a long time that I’ve read through three books so fast.
could not put her books down!

Each book took me about two days to read. Maybe three. (with breaks of course and sleep).

They’re dark, mysterious and exciting.

They are perfectly fucked up.
(I don’t really know what that says about me liking them so much though).

But I highly recommend them.
And they will be turning Gone Girl and Dark Places into movies.
Gone Girl will be out the beginning of October this year – so get on it!

I cannot wait for her next book!

rubber stamps

I absolutely love rubber stamps! And just had to do a whole post about them.

They can really add something awesome to a photo or scrap booking or any craft with out getting too crazy.
I first bought stamps from a small business that is now sadly out of business.

But seeing what I could do/did with those stamps made me love them.
And now I am addicted!
I always check out the $1 stamp bins at the craft store and I always check the shelves to see
if any are new. (Micheal’s always has $1 stamps).

I know I will be adding stamps to something in the wedding as well.
(I’ve already bought two)
My Project Life album is my favorite place to use stamps.
I add stamps to the filler cards from the kits or I add them onto photos.

One day I would like to try to make my own!
