I took a Saturday a couple weeks ago when we had a heat wave (it was 40 degrees)
and painted it in the garage. Before that we tried to use
white spray paint and it just didn’t look good. I think it was the quality of the paint and so I just used left over ceiling paint instead.
I used a roller for most of it and then a brush for the spots where the roller couldn’t fit.
I’m sure I’ll be moving things around on there and adding to it.
But for now this will do.
I’m glad we can finally use it. I learned my lesson though. No outdoor crafts unless it’s summer.
My first page for February was the wedding hall. I took a bunch of photos while we were there
so I could remember what it looked like if I went home to think about booking it.
I used a journaling card from the Midnight Kit and I slipped a brochure about the hall into the other 3×4 slot.
I used a label on the photo of the bridal table.
The second page is Danny and I building our bookshelf.
I used the Midnight Kit for filler and a journaling card.
I used the A Beautiful Mess app to edit the photos and a rubber ‘for the love of” stamp.
And little heart brads on the filler card.
The next page is a date night we had with Danny’s friends.
I used the Midnight Kit again and ‘his’ and ‘her’ stamps.
The next page is my birthday layout. I used the Midnight Kit again and ‘for the love of’ stamp.
I used wooden flowers and sewed them into the 3×4 pocket.
I can’t wait to use that technique more throughout this project.
The last spread for February was another date night, but just the two of us.
I used the Cherry Kit for the date card and just gray card stock with purple washi tap.
This is one of my favorites just because I like that we each have a photo in a 3×4 slot.
Although Danny was gone through the whole weekend it was still a good one. My friends came over on Friday to celebrate my birthday and I spent all day Saturday hanging out with Annabel and reading. It was the first day in months that I didn’t leave the house. I also finally painted the bookshelf that Danny built for me. Sunday I went shopping with my mom and sister. We got some wedding ideas and found some good deals for wedding stuff.
I can’t wait to get the bookshelf in our bedroom!
Annabel fell asleep on me while I was reading.
It’s so hard to train her to stay off the furniture because she is so needy and cuddly.
And cute so I can’t say no.
She also was sleeping with her paw on my hand.
Having everyone over on Friday night really wore her out.
She’s so cute when she’s calm and sleeping.
Okay, so they’re not actually jars. They’re the glass from a chandelier. I broke one of them so now there’s no enough for the lamp so I figured I’d reuse them for something else. I’ve seen this done with twine and yarn. I went with yarn because that’s what I had. It was a bit more difficult than it looks and my first one didn’t turn out as awesome as I had hoped. I covered the glass with mod-podge and wrapped the yarn around. I waited for the mod-podge to dry before I touched it or moved it around.
The second one I made I decided to not go as far up with the yarn.
That wavy-ness at the top made it a bit difficult.
So now the black and white one is a pen holder at work for me and I plan
on making one more with the yarn at the same height as the purple one.
